Copyright xxxx from the Milton Bradley Company, this Pocket Simon is in excellent, working condition. All the lights and sounds work, and the cosmetic damage on the edges is very minor. The game requires 2 AA batteries as well as a 9V battery to operate.
Although the 8-page, hard-copy User's Manual no longer exists, I have a .pdf copy that has been scanned with Optical Character Recognition (allowing you to search the Manual by words). If you provide me with an email address after submitting payment (or during payment), I'll then email it to you. Besides the game-play instructions, the User's Manual also details how to obtain and replace bulbs.
There are three game modes:
- "POCKET SIMON SAYS" (1 or more players) This is a game of concentration with 4 skill levels. Compete against Pocket Simon yourself and repeat the ever-increasing sequence of flashing lights and sounds. Group play is also possible ...two or more players team up against Pocket Simon or compete against each other.
- "PLAYER SAYS" (1 or more players) In this game, you decide what signals to play and the order in which you want to play them. Pocket Simon's only response is to give you the first signal, the "RAZZ" if you misplay and the "VICTORY" signal.
- "CHOOSE YOUR COLOUR" (2, 3 or 4 players) A color elimination game for 2, 3 or 4 people. Players are responsible for pressing assigned color lenses at certain times to repeat the sequence. Players are eliminated from the game with an untimely response.
The device measures 7" L x 1.5" D x 4" W (gamepad diameter) or 3.25" W (control panel) and weighs 6.5 ounces without batteries.
The original box is also included, although it's not in great shape.
